The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League has been up to the mark so far. Within two weeks, we have seen a Super Over, closely completed matches, and a player single-handedly destroying the opposition with the bat and ball. As they say, IPL is a platform where talent meets opportunity, it has been providing the perfect opportunity to every player who has played matches. Now, we are slowly moving into the middle phase of the tournament.

Rajasthan Royals were the underdogs during the inaugural season of the IPL. However, they managed to lift the trophy thanks to the guidance of an inspirational captain in Shane Warne. Since then, they have been unable to call themselves the champions. There are many reasons for it.

Poor management and injury to the players have always hampered their chances. This time, it is the case of injuries to the players. Adding on, as Liam Livingstone and Andrew Tye left the squad, there is a huge void in the camp. A new captain will always find it difficult to make changes if someone is out of form. It is high time that they look after some options via loans.

One thing that the Royals are lacking right now is someone who will compliment Jos Buttler. They have not been able to cash in the opportunities. The two games they have won were because of a collective team effort and some brilliance from Morris and Miller. They need some firepower at the top.

And if we make a list of some destructive batsmen in the world, Jason Roy will come at the top. The hard-hitting Englishman has been England’s premier opener in limited-overs cricket. He will never waste any deliveries to set in. Roy will either depart early on in his inning or set the game on fire.

In 43 T20I games, Roy has scored 1034 runs. With a healthy average of 24.05, he has provided excellent starts to England. In T20Is, Roy has a healthy strike rate of 142.33. And hence, he can compliment someone like Jos Buttler. His addition will be a big plus for the Royals.
