The second phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 is about to begin and two players from Mumbai Indians are sweating it out completely to get into the XI. Arjun Tendulkar and Marco Jansen were seen training really hard during the pre-season session of the Mumbai Indians in Dubai. The defending champions have reached the United Arab Emirates earlier than others to prepare better.

Interestingly enough, both the players have a few similarities. The two players are left-arm pacers with some knack and ability for batting as well. As a matter of fact, both the players are 21 years old, even though Arjun will be turning 22 by the end of this month. Jansen has made his IPL debut though, unlike Arjun.

The two left-arm pacers were seen bowling yorkers and having a block hole challenge between themselves. The video of the competition between the two players was posted on the social media of Mumbai Indians. The caption of the post was, “In the block hole. right on target.” In the video, both the players were seen nailing yorkers consistently.

Arjun Tendulkar is yet to make his Mumbai Indians debut

Interestingly, the two players were seen keeping gloves near the stumps and then trying to put the ball each time on the gloves or at the stumps. The duo successfully managed to get several yorkers right on point. The young players have been bought by the franchise and are likely to be groomed alongside the stars of the team.

Marco Jansen was one of the more surprising picks at the IPL auction 2021. He was picked up by the franchise for INR 20 Lakhs, having impressed the talent scouts in the team management. He had played only a few first-class games in his home country of South Africa when they managed to find him and buy him at the auction. He played two matches and also picked up two scalps, both on his debut.

Arjun, on the other hand, had played a couple of T20 matches for Mumbai, which allowed him to have a chance to be in the IPL Auction 2021. He was also bought for his base price of INR 20 Lakhs. He is yet to make his debut for Mumbai Indians and could be seen featuring in a match during leg two of the IPL 2021.
