Rajasthan Royals (RR), after their 10-wicket defeat against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), have made a stupendous comeback in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team, captained by Sanju Samson, went on to beat the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

With the win, the Royals moved to sixth in the points table. After winning the toss and electing to field first, RR restricted the Knights 133 for nine in 20 overs. The Knights could never recover after scoring 25 runs in the powerplay.

In the run-chase, the RR batters played their strokes and also showed a lot of maturity on a tacky surface to bat on. In the end, Samson’s men chased the target down with eight balls to spare. In the meantime, KKR lost their fourth game in a row.

Here are the RR Player Ratings for the RR vs KKR match:

Jos Buttler- 2.5/10

Jos Buttler didn’t have a great day with the bat in hand. He started with a four, but then Varun Chakravarthy trapped him plumb in front. However, in the first innings, he ran out Shubman Gill with a direct hit.

Yashasvi Jaiswal- 6/10

Yashasvi Jaiswal started with a couple of scorching fours off Pat Cummins and was looking good. But after his 17-ball 22, it was Shivam Mavi, who accounted for his wicket after the batter holed out to the fielder at sweeper cover.

Sanju Samson- 9/10

Quite often, Sanju Samson has been guilty of throwing his wicket. But it wasn’t the case against the Knights as the Royals’ skipper stayed unbeaten on 42 runs off 41 balls with the help of two fours and a six.

Shivam Dube- 6.5/10

Shivam Dube played some handsome strokes as he made 22 off 18 balls with two fours and a six. He became Varun Chakravarthy’s second victim. With his medium pace, Dube gave five runs in the only over he bowled.

David Miller- 7.5/10

David Miller came to bat at number six and saw his team home without much fuss. The left-hander stayed unbeaten on 24 runs of 23 balls. His knock was laced with three glorious fours as he showed his class.

Riyan Parag- N/A

Rahul Tewatia- 4.5/10

Rahul Tewatia didn’t have a great day on the field. He was the most expensive Royals’ bowler as he gave 24 runs from three overs. With the ball, he got out to Prasidh Krishna after scoring five off eight.

Chris Morris- 9.5/10

Chris Morris was on top of his game as he picked up the crucial wickets of Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell and Pat Cummins followed by the one of Shivam Mavi. In his four overs, the speedster only gave away 23 runs.

Jaydev Unadkat- 8.5/10

Jaydev Unadkat came back into the eleven in place of Shreyas Gopal and he didn’t flatter to deceive. In four overs, he gave away only 25 runs with 11 dot balls. Moreover, he prized out the wicket of Sunil Narine.

Chetan Sakariya- 7/10

Chetan Sakariya was pretty much on his mark at various stages during his spell. In four overs, the left-arm pacer gave away only 31 runs with eight dot balls. The southpaw also churned out the crucial wicket of Nitish Rana.

Mustafizur Rahman- 8.5/10

Mustafizur Rahman has been hard to get away in the tournament. The same was the case in Saturday’s match as he gave only 22 runs in four overs and got the wicket of Rahul Tripathi.
