Rajasthan Royals would be playing their next match against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings which has already become the first team to qualify for playoffs of IPL 2021. For CSK, it is going to be a dead rubber but even they will step up to maintain their top-two finish. However, Rajasthan need to take the match very much in their favour to keep their playoffs dreams alive.

Royals played their last clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore and had to bear the defeat by seven wickets. It remains to be seen if they will be able to strike a comeback against the yellow army. There might be a few changes that RR will make in their lot. Let’s take a look at –

Rajasthan Royals predicted playing XI against CSK

Openers (Yashasvi Jaiswal and Evin Lewis)

There is no doubt in the fact that openers of Rajasthan have been doing a fine job for their team. The opening pair of young Jaiswal and stylish Lewis has set the perfect tone for the team. They were crucial in their last game too as they added 31 and 58 runs respectively from their ends.

Middle-order (Liam Livingstone and Sanju Samson)

The middle order of Rajasthan seems decent enough to keep rowing their boat in the game, given they produce as per their potentials. Livingstone who is yet to shine at his best in the IPL seemed struggling in the last game too and even Samson left the pitch being trapped by Shahbaz Ahmed, early on 19 runs. Both of them will be expected to stand upright against CSK where the great patch of the skipper will help them in their cause.

All-rounders (Mahipal Lomror, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia)

The all-round department of Rajasthan is elaborate enough to click a turnaround at least as per their action in the previous seasons. However, UAE still awaits their best action. Lomror has pitched in with crucial runs in the last few games but the other names have been making no good use of the bat.

Parag and Tewatia added 9 and 2 runs respectively from their side to contribute to RR’s cause. However, Tewatia had his decent three overs where he conceded 23 runs. It will be of paramount importance for RR to see their pall-rounders taking their game a notch up.

Bowlers (Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya, Kartik Tyagi, and Tabraiz Shamsi)

If there is one bowler bowling accurately for Rajasthan alongside picking wickets, it has to be Mustafizur Rahman and it was evident in his last game too where he picked two wickets by conceding 20 runs in three overs. Sakariya has also maintained a fine tone and conceded at 6.00 in the last game.

Now it is quite sure that Royals won’t fetch Chris Morris for the upcoming game who hasn’t been able to bring magic even once in the UAE. In fact, in RR’s last game, he conceded at 12.50. Therefore, young Tyagi will be a probable name in the XI of Rajasthan against CSK and they might even go with South African great Tabraiz Shamsi.
