Chennai Super Kings are set to lock horns with Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 1 of the 2021 Indian Premier League on Sunday, October 10 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Super Kings, finished in the top two, but after losing three games in a row, their confidence may not be high.

In their previous game, Punjab Kings beat them by six wickets as KL Rahul and Co. chased down 137 with seven overs to spare. To make things worse, the Super Kings lost both their games against the Capitals in the league stage. DC, on the other hand, finished atop the points table with 20 points.

Rishabh Pant’s men will be going into the game after losing to the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last game of the league stage. The pitch in Dubai has been a fairly sporting one. The batters have been able to play their shots on their up. But the track has also helped the spinners to some extent. The pitch also favours the chasing teams and hence, batting second should be the way forward.

Probable best batter of the match

Ruturaj Gaikwad— Chennai Super Kings

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been a revelation for the Super Kings in the ongoing edition of the IPL. After failing in the first three games, the youngster has come into his own and has scored runs for fun. In 14 matches, the right-hander has notched 533 runs at an average of 44.41 and a strike rate of 137.01. If he gets going, the Capitals may end up chasing leather.

Probable best bowler of the match

Avesh Khan– Delhi Capitals

Avesh Khan has been exceptional for the Capitals in the ongoing edition of the IPL. He is currently the leading wicket-taker for his team, having scalped 22 wickets at an economy rate of 7.18. But he would be a tad disappointed after not being able to defend 15 runs against the Challengers. Nevertheless, Khan still remains a brute force for DC in the tournament.
