Rajasthan Royals were the title winners in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They won that edition against all odds when no one considered them even the contenders of the final race. However, the performance of the team has gone downhill since their win in the first season. In IPL 2021, Rajasthan will be playing with a new captain in form of Sanju Samson who will replace Steve Smith. The Aussie star was released before the mini-auction and was bought by Delhi Capitals for the season.

157.41 – Rajasthan Royals will have to face a dilemma on their opening combination this season, and Jos Buttler might bat at the top for them. His strike rate of 157.41 as an opener is the best for any opener in IPL history with a minimum of 1000 runs scored. The English batsman has an impressive strike rate of 155.3 in the power play.

5 – Rahul Tewatia is going to play a key role for RR this year both with the bat and ball. He smashed 5 sixes in an over last year, which is joint most sixes in an over in IPL.

2 – Shreyas Gopal has picked up 48 wickets in 45 matches he has played in IPL. He needs 2 more wickets to reach the 50-mark in the cash-rich league. He has bowled at an average of 24.23 and an economy of 7.85 in the tournament.

4.90 – Chetan Sakariya who was bought by Rajasthan Royals at a price of 1.2 cr put up an impressive show in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this year. He picked up 12 wickets in 5 matches and bowled at an incredible economy of 4.90.

386Jos Buttler has scored 1714 IPL runs in 57 innings at a strike rate of 149.56 including 11 half-centuries. He is 386 runs away from completing 2000 runs in the league.
