One of the finest players to don the jersey of Royals, Jos Buttler has been terrific with his consistent scores in the last few editions of the IPL. He was one of the three retained players by the franchise for the 2022 season. He started this season with 35 off 28 against SRH and followed it up with a century against his former franchise, MI.

In the third appearance against RCB, Buttler delivered a knock of 70 off 47 balls. The next three knocks read as 54, 103, and 116, and became the Orange Cap holder by a fair margin. Apart from the knock of 67, his form slumped in the latter half of the season.

Buttler’s recent three scores in the league stages were 2,2, and 7, which is disappointing for a player of his caliber. However, he still has the orange cap with 629 runs at an average of 48.38. The Englishman will serve as the key player for the Royals in the playoffs.
