Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants will be facing each other in the 12th match of IPL 2022 at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Sunrisers Hyderabad had a disastrous IPL 2021, finishing last place with just three wins. The 2022 season couldn’t fetch any immediate change in fortunes, as they lost to Rajasthan Royals by a huge margin in their first match. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants, one of the two new teams, began the season with a loss followed by a win.

The previous season bowlers in Bhuveshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and T Natarajan bowled fairly well for SRH in their opener. However, the absence of Rashid Khan was clearly evident as the spinners went for 62 runs without a wicket in four overs. Though SRH has now got a much more powerful middle order, the absence of David Warner and Rashid Khan has created new problems for the team.

The strong suit of Lucknow Super Giants is definitely their batting. Amidst a lethal top-five with KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey, Evin Lewis, and Deepak Hooda, they have found a new star Ayush Badoni at No.6. Despite batting only once in T20 cricket prior to his IPL debut this season, Badoni has impressed and sealed his spot with two good knocks straightaway. However, LSG would like their bowlers to perform more consistently. Kane Williamson will hope his team to bounce back from the defeat to Rajasthan Royals and open their account in their second match.

Meanwhile, here are some of the important stats and numbers ahead of Match 12 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2022:
