The 39th match of the IPL 2022 will witness Rajasthan Royals clashing against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rajasthan will surely have an upper hand in the game, as they have had two massive and epic victories in the last two games. Jos Buttler is in his best form currently and has already scored three centuries in this season, as he holds the precious Orange Cap for most runs. He smashed 116 runs in 65 balls against the Delhi Capitals in his last game.

Rajasthan is a complete package right now, having placed in the upper half of the points table, and having the highest run-scorer- Buttler and the highest wicket-taker of the season thus far- Yuzvendra Chahal in their team. Sanju Samson is regaining his mojo, and Shimron Hetmyer has been performing the finisher’s role for the team. The bowlers have been very economical so far and Rajasthan will look to carry their winning momentum further.

Here’s the predicted Playing XI of Rajasthan Royals for Match 39 of IPL 2022:

Openers: Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal

Jos Buttler is the Mr. Dependable for RR currently. His form in the game is just fantastic, and having scored three centuries and two half-centuries under his belt, he will look to continue with his heroics and put up yet another classic performance.

Padikkal was brought back to his old opening duties and has been performing well ever since. He has been able to form a good understanding with Buttler as the two help their team get off to a good start. In the previous game against DC, Padikkal scored a half-century as the duo shared a 155-run opening stand.

Middle-order: Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer, Karun Nair

Skipper Sanju Samson anchored the game towards in end against DC when RR lost Paddikal in the 16th over. Sanju smashed a quick 19-ball 46 and remained unbeaten as he held the game tight. Hetmyer entered the game in the 19th over but faced just one ball as Samson took over the charge and helped RR score 222 runs in the first innings.

Hetmyer has so far displayed some fine performances, and the team will depend upon him once the top-order batters finish their duties. He has been very consistent with the bat and has smashed 224 runs in seven innings that he has played so far. Karun Nair hasn’t played much this season, but if he gels well with the batters on the other end, he has the ability to take the game long.

All-rounders: Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin

Parag has been with the side for quite some time now, but this season hasn’t been his best. He registered some match-winning knocks in the previous two years, but has been unable to do so. He has scored only 48 runs from five innings, but his confidence suggests that he just needs one good game to get his mojo back.

Ravi Ashwin can provide the crucial runs in the death for his team, and also get them the vital breakthroughs with the ball. The off-spinner has come up as a really good all-rounder this season and scalped two important wickets in the previous game- in the form of Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan.

Bowlers: Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy, Yuzvendra Chahal

RR has one of the finest bowling units in the tournament. The bowlers have managed to keep the opposition in check, alongside grabbing ample wickets and maintaining their economy. Boult did not get a wicket in the previous game and gave away a few additional runs as well, but the bowling attack works as a team, and there is always another bowler to the rescue if one fails.

Prasidh Krishna scalped three wickets in the game against DC, and all three included big names like David Warner, Rishabh Pant, and Sarfaraz Khan. He will be expected to continue his heroics with the ball. Obed McCoy proved costly in the previous game, but he has the ability to handle the pressure in the death overs, and he proved it while playing against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Yuzvendra Chahal needs no introduction. He was one of the reasons behind the thrilling victory against KKR after he scalped a hat-trick and a five-wicket haul in the game and followed it with an economical performance against DC.

RR Predicted XI: Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Karun Nair, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy, Yuzvendra Chahal
