10. Lucknow Super Giants – Avesh Khan (INR 10 crore)

Avesh Khan had a breakthrough season in IPL 2021 where he picked up an impressive 24 wickets in 16 games for the Delhi Capitals going under 7.5 runs per over. Lucknow Supergiants bagged the star pacer for INR 10 crore in the auction to lead their bowling lineup in IPL 2022.
Avesh’s ability to seam the ball in the powerplay is his biggest asset. He has an unusual action that makes the ball skid through the surface and his ability to ball rapid yorkers at will made him an invaluable player to the franchise.
While the likes of Umran Malik and Moshin Khan hogged the limelight, Avesh slowly went about his business as he picked 18 wickets in just 13 games for LSG. He often bowls the tough overs at the death for his side, which is a reason for his slightly higher economy rate of 8.73 runs per over.
