No player in the history of the league has played for as many IPL teams as Aaron Finch. The Victorian opener has featured for seven teams and one among them is Mumbai Indians (MI). However, not a lot of people took notice of the fact that he turned out for MI.

The dashing Australian opening batsman was bought for a sum of INR 3.2 crore by MI in 2015. Finch flopped in the first two games where he scored just 5 and 8 respectively. In the third game, he was forced to retire hurt on 10 due to a hamstring injury which cut short his season. Finch couldn’t make a big impact for MI and was released next year.

Finch played for Gujarat Lions in 2016 and 2017 and had with decent returns. He played 26 games and got 692 runs at an average of 31.45 and a strike-rate of 144.47. In 2018, he was paid INR 6.2 crore by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the auctions but the Aussie failed to deliver (134 runs in 9 innings).
