It was a night to remember for the Mumbai Indians fans against RCB at Wankhede Stadium when MI registered their first win of the tournament after going down in the first three games. The win was accompanied by a little mishap that occurred on the field involving their wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan.
During the 13th over of the second innings, a throw from Hardik Pandya that was directed towards the keeper bounced awkwardly from the practice pitches and went onto hit Kishan near his right eye. The keeper was without the helmet which made the attention to be more prominent towards the probable injury. However, Rohit in his post-match presentation revealed that the youngster was fine.
Tweets his eagerness to bounce back
After the unfortunate accident in the last game, Kishan, who was then replaced by Aditya Tare for the remaining game time, is eager to bounce back from and adorn the blue jersey for his franchise once again. The 19-year old dashing wicket-keeper batsmen, took to Twitter to share about his recovery from the mishap. In his tweet, he thanked his good wishers and the fans for all the support coming his way. The anxiety was much evident in his words that assert his fans for a stronger comeback.
He mentioned, “Uncontrollable circumstances is one of the reason’s why we love this beautiful game of Cricket . I was hurt, and was off the field. Your love and support keeps me going always!! Thank you all!! Time to bounce back stronger #MIPaltan @mipaltan #IPL2018 “.

Needs to prove his mettle with the bat
Kishan, who was bought by Mumbai Indians for a whopping INR 6.2 crores in this year’s auction has shown glimpses of his talent with the bat. He has been decent with the glove work behind the wicket but needs to show more promise and maturity with the bat, especially at times when the team needs him. After the win against RCB, the men in blue would be looking to continue their winning streak in their quest to reach the play-offs stage.
