India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has congratulated Team India for their victory over England in all three series. India’s home series against England came to an end on Sunday with the conclusion of the ODI series. The Men in Blue beat the visitors by seven runs in the thrilling final ODI to win the series 2-1.

Asked to bat first, India were all out for 329 in less than 49 overs. In-form Rishabh Pant top-scored for the hosts, scoring 78 off just 62 balls. Opener Shikhar Dhawan (67) and all-rounder Hardik Pandya (64) also scored crucial fifties to guide India to the big total. In reply, England fought well thanks to Sam Curran’s unbeaten 95-run knock but eventually finished their innings on 322 for 9.

The visitors, who were reeling on 200 for 7 at one stage, needed 14 runs in the final over. However, T Natarajan held his nerve and bowled a fine over, conceding only 6 runs to help India win the game as well as the series.

The Virat Kohli-led side had also won the preceding Test and T20I series. In both the series, England won the first game before India came back from behind to clinch the series. In the four-match Test series, England won the first Test before India won the remaining three. England then won two of the first three games of the T20Is before India won the last two games to win the five-match series.

Jasprit Bumrah’s message for Team India

Soon after the third ODI in Pune came to an end and Team India lifted the trophy, Jasprit Bumrah took to Twitter to congratulate his teammates. The star pacer highlighted India’s victory over England in all three formats as he wrote, “Congratulations #TeamIndia. Great wins across formats”

Here is the tweet from Jasprit Bumrah:

Bumrah missed the ODI and the T20I series as well as the fourth Test against England because of his wedding with Sanjana Ganesan. The Indian team-management had released the pacer just before the fourth Test in Ahmedabad. Bumrah is set to return to action during the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2021 is scheduled to start on April 9.
