Jersey actress Mrunal Thakur names her favourite international cricketers

The movie Jersey, will release on 31st December 2021. The movie is based on cricket and has Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur playing the lead roles.

And ahead of the release of this movie, Mrunal Thakur was asked as to who was her favourite cricketer. And to that, she responded with 3 names. Thakur said that Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Lasith Malinga were her favourite cricketers.

Thakur also added that she likes Malinga as he possesses long and curly hair. “Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar are my favourites and I like Malinga too for his long, curly hair,” said Mrunal Thakur while speaking to the Times of India.

Talking about Mrunal Thakur’s favourite cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are two of the greatest batters in the history of the game. Tendulkar is the only batter to have plundered a staggering 100 international hundreds and is also the highest run-scorer in both Tests (15921 runs) and ODIs (18426 runs).

On the other hand, Virat Kohli has amassed 70 international hundreds, and is the 6th highest run-scorer in the history of ODI cricket, with 12169 runs to his name. The current Indian Test skipper is also the 2nd highest run-scorer in T20I cricket and has plundered a staggering 3227 runs at an average of 52.04.

Lasith Malinga is the highest wicket-taker for the Sri Lankan side in T20I cricket and has prized out a whopping 107 willow wielders. While the right arm pace bowling legend has taken 338 wickets in ODI cricket, Malinga scalped 101 wickets in Test match cricket for the Sri Lankan outfit.
