Jimmy Neesham, the New Zealand all-rounder is by far the funniest cricketer on social media right now. His wit, amazing powers of observation and ability to take the mickey out of his fans have endeared him to everyone. His tweets make quite an impression by attempting to reply to most of the tweets he gets.

Currently, Neesham is playing in the Global T20 Canada for the Edmonton Royals team and has been performing admirably for the franchise by contributing with both the bat and the ball, as he has picked two wickets in four matches and has the highest score of 33 against Brampton Wolves. However, more than anything else, he is more known for his amazing and funny replies to fans on his Twitter handle.

Neesham asks a fan to tweet to him on his birthday, not a day before

Recently, Neesham got a tweet from a fan who wanted to let him know that it was his birthday the next day. “My birthday’s tomorrow!” tweeted the fan. However, he didn’t expect that Neesham would reply with a curt remark, as the cricketer tweeted, “Tweet me tomorrow then”, with a straight face.

Neesham’s social media cred is incredible, as he riled up a lot of fans on Twitter the other day by making a pretty funny and hilarious comparison between Rory Burns and Virat Kohli after the England opener scored a brilliant ton on Ashes debut. He had tweeted, “Rory Burns now has more runs in his first Ashes innings than Virat Kohli has in his entire Ashes career.”

This resulted in the Indian fans taking up his bait and going to down with similarly themed tweets as well. Jimmy Neesham had recently participated in the New Zealand’s successful World Cup 2019 campaign, given that they reached the final against England and lost it on boundary count after playing the first-ever super over in ODI cricket history.

Neesham helped New Zealand by making 13 not out in the super over, when Kiwis needed 16 to win, however, Guptill’s run out off the last ball when two runs were needed, meaning the super over ended up in a tie and millions of hearts expecting a Kiwi win were broken.
