Kevin Pietersen is known for his entertaining batting, explosive knocks and unorthodox batting technique. Bowlers used to find it tough to bowl to the former England skipper. But, his international career wasn’t a normal one like many of the cricketers. He represented many T20 clubs after he was dramatcially axed by the England Cricket Board.

Kevin Pietersen was glorified as one of the destructive T20 batsmen. His extraordinary flamboyant batting is a treat to watch for any cricket fan. He represented at least for 12 T20 franchises right from IPL, BBL to PSL and earned a great name in T20 cricket since his controversial international axing.

An Aussie journalist questions

However, an Australian journalist questioned Kevin Pietersen’s T20 skills and termed his only glory as 2010 WT20 victory. He further added that there are no big milestones achieved by KP in top T20 leagues like Indian Premier League and Big Bash League.

His tweet read, “Still not sure why people rate KP so highly in T20 cricket. Failed to set the IPL alight in 5 yrs, nothing outrageous in BBL. Best format still Test cricket by a mile. Only fame to glory was 2010 T20 wcup #IPL”

To which, Kevin Pietersen gave a mouth-shutting reply to the journo, stating, “How many T20 World Cups & Man of the T20 World Cups have you got mate?! Shut up!”

The conversation was followed by the Kiwi pacer Mitchell McClenaghan and he responded to the convo by tweeting, “That escalated quickly – love it”

KP loved the comments from the Kiwi speed-gun and relied back in some style, “Only one way to deal with f…wits buddy!”

KP enjoying his commentary stint in IPL

Kevin Pietersen is currently in India for the commentary stint with the Star Sports for the ongoing Indian Premier League 2018 season. He represented five IPL sides in nine seasons of the cash-rich league.
