Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are yet to win an IPL trophy despite having a strong squad over the years. They reached the playoffs of IPL in 2020 after a gap of 4 years. They were defeated by SRH in the eliminator. Their record at M Chinnaswamy Stadium is not great, but this year teams will be playing at natural venues. So, this factor can work in their favour. On the other hand, KKR have won the IPL title twice in 2012 and 2014. However, they have failed to repeat those heroics again. In the second leg of IPL 2021, the two sides locked horns at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and KKR registered a thumping nine-wicket win.

Head to Head record:

These teams have played 28 matches against each other in IPL, of which 15 have been won by KKR and RCB have won the remaining 13 games. These two sides have a history of rivalry as RCB registered its lowest total of 49 runs against KKR.

Top performers:

RCB captain Virat Kohli has an incredible record against KKR. He has scored the most runs (735) in the clashes, followed by AB de Villiers (464) and Andre Russell (339). Among the bowlers, Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up the most wickets (17). He is followed by Sunil Narine (16) and Andre Russell (10).

Last match results:

The two powerhouses last locked horns in the UAE leg of IPL 2021. It was a forgettable outing for the Virat Kohli-led side as KKR dominated them in all three departments. RCB suffered a tragic batting collapse while batting first in Dubai and lost wickets at regular intervals. From AB de Villiers to skipper Virat Kohli, no RCB batter could play an innings of substance. As a result, Bangalore got skittled out for 92.

Chasing the mediocre total, KKR didn’t break a sweat. Openers Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer attacked RCB bowlers from the outset and scored runs all over the park. The duo added 82 runs for the first wicket, making sure there’s no twist in the tale. As a result, KKR achieved the target in 10 overs, registering a nine-wicket win.
