Match Details:

The 19th match of the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2019 will be played between Mysuru Warriors and Bellary Tuskers at the Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadiyar Ground in Mysore.

The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (IST) (1:30 PM GMT).

This game will be live on Star Sports and live streaming is available on Hotstar.

Bellary Tuskers is one of the two teams that have confirmed their spot in the playoffs in this edition of Karnataka Premier League (KPL). They and Shivamogga Lions are the only teams to win as many as three matches. The Tuskers won four out of the five matches they played thus far and in all likelihood, they will finish as the table-topers. They will face Mysuru Warriors in their last league match.

The spotlight will be on Krishnappa Gowtham who created a sensation with his all-round performance in the last match of the season in Bangalore. Gowtham recorded the highest KPL score of 134* and also took an 8-wicket haul (8/15) in the match against Shivamogga. On the other hand, the Mysuru Warriors need a win to qualify for the playoffs and also need Belagavi Panthers to lose against Bijapur Bulls.

Weather Condition/Report:

Mysore is also under the threat of rain like Bangalore. However, the chance of rain is high only before the match. It could delay the start of the afternoon match. But the game to be played in the night is expected to have no interruption.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Mysore-leg matches began with twin 9-wicket wins suggesting how good the track here is for chasing. Since this is the 2nd game of the day, the totals could be slightly lower. However, chasing teams continue to be favourite.

Average first innings score: 163 (KPL matches in 2019)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 2, Lost – 0

Expert Advice:

It will be too funky to not pick Krishnappa Gowtham, especially after the recent performance. The all-rounder finally got a chance to showcase his batting skills when he got promoted. He already adds value with his bowling and was the leading wicket-taker even before the 8-wicket haul.

Probable Winners:

Bellary Tuskers are expected to bag another win before entering playoffs.
