Not only with their batting and bowling exploits, but the current Indian side has also impressed the cricketing world with its high-standard of fitness. Led by their inspirational skipper Virat Kohli, the players are taking all possible measures to stay fit and give their best on the field. Kohli has been an inspiration for the world due to his healthy lifestyle. The India skipper had arrived at the scene with a chubby face.
However, in the course of time, he realised the importance of fitness and soon adopted a new lifestyle. He gave up on the delicacies, switched to healthy sustenance and soon reaped the rewards. Kohli’s game has gone to a different level altogether and his fitness has played a huge role in that. Time and again, the 30-year-old has himself revealed how his healthy living style has helped him do well on the field.
Kohli’s approach has also rubbed on his teammates as they too are trying their best to remain as fit as possible. Exercising and healthy eating has become a part and parcel of the current Indian players. The BCCI, on its part, has also made sure that the players do not take their fitness lightly by making it mandatory for them to clear the yo-yo test in order to become eligible for selection. Not very long ago, the likes of Mohammed Shami, Ambati Rayudu and Sanju Samson were dropped from the national teams failing to clear the endurance test.
The Kadaknath Chicken
Meanwhile, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jhabua have come up with a new type of chicken for Team India. The institute wrote a letter to the BCCI, stating that the ‘kadaknath chicken’ contains very less cholesterol and fat, has higher protein and iron while also claiming that it is better than grilled chicken as per the National Research Center. The institute also urged Kohli to try it out.
