After RR vs SRH, Delhi Capitals maintain their top position on the points table.

Match 40 of the Indian Premier League 2020 saw action between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals in Dubai. SRH grabbed the much-needed victory by eight wickets on the back of heroics by Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar. Batting first, batters of RR came up with an ordinary show from their ends. Ben Stokes (30 off 32) and Sanju Sanson (36 off 26) just garnered a handful of runs for the team.

Pandey was named as the player of the match as he played a terrific knock of 83*off 47. Steven Smith and Riyan Parag contributed to the team with their cameos of 19 and 20 runs. Jason Holder stunned batsmen as he came up for his first match of the season and picked three wickets. Rashid Khan tuned dangerous yet again with his spin action as he picked one wicket to concede 20 runs.

The partnership of Pandey-Shankar led SRH home

While chasing the modest target, the opening stand of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow failed to get anything substantial for the team. However, what followed next was no less than a dreamy affair. Pandey and Vijay Shankar (52* off 51) brought the sheer class on the table to their team over the line. RR’s pace leader Jofra Archer came up with his magic as he conceded 21 runs to dismiss both Warner and Bairstow.
