Australia Women (AUS-W) will take on South Africa Women (SA-W) will lock horns against each other in the second ODI of the three-match series on Wednesday (January 7) at the North Sydney Oval in Sydney. Australia won the first match by eight wickets.

Australia elected to bowl after winning the toss in the first ODI. Only three batters managed to make a double-digit score for South Africa. They were eventually bundled out for just 105 runs in 31.3 overs. Marizappe Kapp was the highest scorer for the team and made 50 runs off 58 deliveries before retiring hurt. Alana King was the pick of the bowlers for Australia and took three wickets for 19 runs in 4.3 overs. Kim Garth also had a decent outing with the ball and took two wickets for 18 runs in six overs.

Australia lost their first two wickets for 42 runs. Ellyse Perry and Beth Mooney ensured that no further damages were done to the innings. Mooney remained unbeaten on 52 runs off 34 deliveries and helped Australia reach the target of 106 runs in just 19 overs with eight wickets in hand. Kim was adjudged the Player of the Match.
