Match 4 of The Hundred Men's 2026 sees the Birmingham Phoenix take on the Trent Rockets at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham on Friday, July 24. Both sides play their first game of the new season and will want to kickstart their campaign on a positive note.
The Phoenix have already suffered a setback even before the start of the competition, with their captain Jacob Bethell being ruled out due to a knee injury. South Africa's Donovan Ferreira will take over the reins from the England international for the rest of the season. Ben Dwarshuis also comes in as an injury replacement in place of Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman.
The Rockets, on the other hand, will be led by The Hundred's most successful captain, Sam Billings. The wicketkeeper-batter guided the Oval Invincibles (now MI London) to three consecutive titles between 2023 and 2025. The Nottingham-based franchise were runners-up last time around and will be wanting to go one better this year. The side does have a strong core of T20 players, including Finn Allen, Ben Duckett, Tom Banton and Tim David, to name a few.
