In the 63rd match of the IPL 2026, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Chennai Super Kings had a disappointing outing in their previous match, going down by seven wickets against Lucknow Super Giants. Batting first, Chennai managed to put up a competitive total of 187 runs on the board, but Lucknow chased it down comfortably in just 16.4 overs.

In the batting department, CSK’s top order failed to make a significant impact. However, Kartik Sharma played a superb innings of 71 runs, while Shivam Dube provided late momentum with a quickfire 32 off just 16 deliveries. On the bowling side, Chennai struggled badly to contain the opposition, with Mukesh Choudhary and Spencer Johnson being the only wicket-takers. Overall, it was a disappointing performance from the CSK bowling unit.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad also endured a tough game in their previous encounter, suffering a heavy 82-run defeat against the Gujarat Titans. After restricting Gujarat to 168 runs, Hyderabad’s batting lineup collapsed miserably and was bundled out for just 86 runs.

The SRH batters looked completely out of touch, failing to build any meaningful partnerships throughout the innings. Pat Cummins emerged as the top scorer with just 19 runs, highlighting the poor batting display. Despite the batting collapse, Hyderabad’s bowlers had earlier shown some promise, with Praful Hinge delivering an impressive spell of two wickets for 17 runs in four overs, while Sakib Hussain also picked up two wickets.
