Preview

The Hundred Women's 2026 kickstarts with the MI London Women (formerly Oval Invincibles) taking on defending champions Sunrisers Leeds (formerly Northern Superchargers) at the iconic Kennington Oval on Tuesday, July 21. Both sides will be gearing up for a successful campaign, having assembled strong sides in the inaugural auction earlier this year.

MI London have been rebranded and now fall under the hugely successful conglomerate of teams owned by the Reliance Group. The team will be captained by Hollie Armitage, who coincidentally guided the Northern Superchargers to the title last time around. They also have a strong core of overseas players, including West Indies and New Zealand captain Hayley Matthews and Melie Kerr.

Sunrisers Leeds, on the other hand, have retained the core which took them to the title in 2025. These include Kate Cross along with the Australian duo of Annabel Sutherland and Phoebe Litchfield. The side will be captained by England all-rounder Dani Gibson, who was signed in the auction for a whopping GBP 190,000.
