Preview
Pakistan (PAK) will clash against New Zealand (NZ) in the second ODI match at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on Wednesday (January 11). Pakistan won the opening match by six wickets to take a crucial 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The young pacer Naseem Shah took five wickets to restrict New Zealand to 255/9 while bowling first. For New Zealand, Michael Bracewell scored the highest 43 runs while Tom Latham contributed 42 runs.
While chasing, Pakistan's top-order started well with Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam smashing fifties but it was Mohammad Rizwan's 77* off 86 balls knock which guided Pakistan to an easy win with 11 balls remaining. Pakistan have won three of their last five ODI encounters against New Zealand and are favorites to win this match as well.
