Every shot he played looked clean and confident. (On their past record at the venue) Honestly, I wasn’t aware of it and that probably helped. I always walk out with a mindset to win. We’ve had some luck go our way this season, but that’s been backed by hard work and strong commitment. Every player knows their role perfectly. The one area we still need to improve is fielding awareness and movement. As a team, we just need to trust our instincts and not overthink the numbers. At the end of the day, what matters is getting the result — and that’s winning.

Arshdeep Singh – PBKS Bowler

There was some early movement with the ball, and I really enjoyed that. In the second innings, the temperature drops and the ball tends to swing more, which helped. That early phase was key, and getting wickets up front gives us a strong advantage. Wadhera’s catch to dismiss Marsh was a turning point — I was just hoping he would hold onto it, knowing how dangerous Mitch can be once he gets going. Credit to him for a superb grab. Our top three batters have been in form, so our focus was on removing them quickly. The execution today was on point. We’re not thinking too far ahead — just taking it one day at a time and enjoying the process.

Conceding that many runs really cost us. Dropping key catches at crucial moments always comes back to hurt, and that’s exactly what happened. We expected the pitch to offer more early on, but we didn’t judge the lengths well at the start. That’s part of the game. The dream of qualifying is still alive — if we win our next three matches, we can definitely turn things around. It's great when your top-order performs, but we can’t always rely on them to deliver every time. We need to take the game deeper as a team. Today, chasing such a big total made it very tough for us.
