Preview
In the final match of the PSL 2026, Peshawar Zalmi (PES) will take on Hyderabad Kingsman (HYK). Peshawar Zalmi have delivered an outstanding performance this season. They won eight of their 10 group-stage matches and then carried that momentum into Qualifier 1, where they crushed Islamabad United by 70 runs. Considering their overall campaign, they look like strong favourites to lift the trophy.
In addition, Peshawar captain Babar Azam has been in tremendous form and currently stands as the leading run-scorer of the season. He also smashed a magnificent century against Islamabad in Qualifier 1, guiding his side to a dominant win. Naturally, fans will be hoping for another big knock from him in the final.
On the other hand, Hyderabad Kingsmen endured a difficult start to the tournament, losing their first four matches consecutively. However, they made an impressive comeback by winning five of their 10 group-stage matches and then claiming victories in both knockout fixtures with strong performances. Now, they are set to face Peshawar in the final of their debut PSL season.
Hyderabad were exceptional in Eliminator 2, edging past Islamabad by just two runs. Islamabad appeared to be cruising towards victory at one stage, but explosive bowling from Hunain Shah, along with defending five runs in the final over, helped Hyderabad seal a dramatic win and book their place in the final.
