Preview

In the 11th match of the IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Royal Challengers Bengaluru have carried forward their impressive form from last season into this tournament. They began their campaign with a six-wicket victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sunrisers, batting first, set a target of 202 runs, which Bengaluru successfully chased down in 15.4 overs. Their top order contributed effectively, with Virat Kohli playing a match-winning knock of 69 while Devdutt Padikkal also scored 61 runs. In the bowling department, Jacob Duffy delivered an excellent spell, claiming three wickets for 22 runs in four overs, while Romario Shepherd also took three wickets.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings' struggles have continued into the current edition as they lost two games back-to-back. They suffered a five-wicket defeat against the Punjab Kings in their previous match. Batting first, Chennai’s top order gave an excellent start as Ayush Mhatre scored 73 off just 43 balls. Shivam Dube also played well and scored 45 runs. Moreover, the middle order also performed well, as Sarfaraz Khan provided some resistance with a crucial 33-run innings, helping the team post a good total of 209.

However, Chennai's bowling line-up failed to defend this big total, and Punjab easily achieved the target. For Chennai, Matt Henry and Anshul Kamboj were successful in taking 2 wickets each, but they conceded too many runs, while other bowlers also failed to make a significant impact.
