Preview

Yorkshire will lock horns with Warwickshire in the 98th match of the Vitality Blast 2023 at the Headingley in Leeds on June 22. Yorkshire have won six of their 11 matches each and are in the fifth position in the North Group. Warwickshire, on the other hand, have won seven matches from 10 they have played and are at the top of the table in the North Group.

Yorkshire had squared off against Northamptonshire in their last match, where Northamptonshire won the toss and elected to bat. They had a good start due to their openers' good form. Their top order played well and did the bulk of the scoring. Captain Willey also provided some good finishing touches, which helped them post a good total of 180 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets. Yorkshire, on the other hand, had a horrible start losing four wickets within the batting powerplay. They could never recover from this loss and were bowled out for 102. Northamptonshire won the match pretty easily by a margin of 78 runs.

Warwickshire had squared off against Durham in their last match, where Warwickshire won the toss and elected to field. On a slow wicket, Durham did not start well but did not lose too many wickets in the process. The pair of Robinson and Turner had a brilliant partnership of 86 runs, leading them to get to 146 runs on the board. The openers of Warwickshire made the most of the powerplay and amassed 80 runs for the opening partnership. Although they lost a few wickets in the process but managed to chase down the total and won the match by two wickets.
