Zimbabwe will take on the Netherlands in the second ODI of the three-match series on Thursday (March 23) at the Harare Sports Club. The Netherlands won the first game by three wickets after chasing the target of 250 runs on the penultimate delivery. The Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl. Zimbabwe lost the first seven wickets even before reaching the 100 runs mark. The bowlers, along with Clive Madande, rescued the team from this position and helped reach 249 runs. Madande made 74 runs off 98 deliveries, his maiden half-century in ODIs. Fred Klaasen was the most successful bowler for the Netherlands as he picked three wickets for 41 runs in 9.3 overs. Paul van Meekeren picked two, while the other bowlers, apart from Colin Ackermann, picked one wicket each.
The Netherlands had a similar start, as they lost five wickets for just 64 runs. Ackermann scored 50 runs off 72 deliveries and added 46 runs for the sixth wicket along with Teja Nidamanuru. Shariz Ahmad contributed with 30 runs off 37 deliveries before he was run out in the 47th over. Paul van Meekeren scored 21 runs off nine deliveries and played a crucial role in the end for the Netherlands. Nidamanuru scored 110 runs off 96 deliveries and helped the team cross the line.
