After the events occurring in Pallekele Stadium last night, where angry fans started hurling bottles on the field, officials of Sri Lankan cricket have been ordered to line up several high profile meeting regarding assurance of security in the forthcoming matches. With India on the verge of victory in the third ODI, Sri Lankans fans residing on the grass banks started hurling objects as play was stopped for more than a thirty minutes.

With the win, Sri Lanka lost yet another series as things go bad to worse for cricket in the island nation. The protest from the ground started to reach outdoors as the masses demand resignation from Sri Lankan Cricket President Thilanga Sumathipala. This was the first time in the boastful history of Sri Lankan cricket that fans started to become unruly after witnessing sorry performances from their team.

Sri Lankans were also whitewashed in the recently concluded Test Series as India won the series by 3-0. The Lankans also lost to the underdogs, Zimbabwe in the ODI series by 3-2. The officials were forced to line up several high profile meetings on demands of ICC Match Referee Andy Pycroft.
