For Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, creating records has become more or less neat and drink. There’s no stopping him when he gets going and his hunger for success only increases as he keeps on piling on the laurels. Ever since he notched his maiden international century against Sri Lanka a decade ago, he hasn’t looked back and has made opponents work hard for his wickets.

To start with, the Delhi-born was only someone, who was successful in the limited-overs formats of the sport. But as he passed the test of times, he stamped his authority even in Test cricket and scoring centuries became bread and butter for him at the highest level. Virat is also one, who has been speculated to break a number of records, created by the enigmatic Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli growing in stature

Currently, Virat has 69 centuries, donning the national colours. And at the rate he is going in ODI cricket, he may also overhaul Sachin’s tally of most centuries in the format. He is also a humble character, who has flourished in his relationship with Anushka Sharma, to whom he has been married since December 2017. Kohli is currently on a break from international cricket.

He is not a part of the three-match T20I series versus Bangladesh where Rohit Sharma is the captain. The modern-day run-machine has now turned 31 years old and has been showered with praises and accolades from every nook and corner of the cricketing fraternity. Virender Sehwag, the former Indian cricketer, also took to Twitter to wish Virat Kohli on the auspicious occasion.

Sehwag and Kohli played the 2011 World Cup final together at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Viru wants Virat to see the cricket ball like a football every time. Wishing for Virat’s happiness, Sehwag also wants his batting to be refreshing, equating it with the F5 button of the computer.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “May the ball always appear as big as this and may your batting always be like a F5 button, refresh everyone who is blessed to see it. Badalon ki tarah chaaye raho, hamesha khush raho @imVkohli #HappyBirthdayViratKohli
