He also got off to a dream debut against Chennai Super Kings where he took the precious wicket of top-order batsman Ambati Rayudu, followed by the wicket of MS Dhoni and Deepak Chahar. However, he couldn’t retain his spot in the XI in the 2019 season due to his inconsistent performances and it might be the major reason behind his trade to Rajasthan Royals.

The Haryana-born player has the power to smash the ball out of the park along and his exceptional quality to spin the ball makes him a more important pick for Rajasthan.

In, 2018, during the IPL auction, he was bought by Delhi Capitals after paying a hefty amount of INR 3 Cr from Kings XI Punjab. But a sudden dip in his form forced him out of the team. Despite, poor form, he was retained by the team in 2019. However, he couldn’t give a breakthrough performance.
