Stuart Binny, the out of favour Indian all-rounder, was interviewed by his wife Mayanti Langer in the ongoing Karnataka Premier League (KPL) on Friday. Mayanti hosts the cricket shows broadcasted on Star Sports and the video of her interview with Stuart on their wedding anniversary went viral on social media. The anchor has reacted for the first time on Twitter since her formal interaction with her husband on air.

Binny is part of Belagavi Panthers in the KPL and played a magnificent knock against the opposition Bengaluru Blasters. He scored a brisk 87 off 46 balls smashing the ball at a strike rate of 189, hitting 8 fours and 5 sixes. Mayanti Langer, who is covering the event for Star, finally got the chance to interview her husband on screen, on their wedding anniversary, much to the joy of their fans.

Mayanti’s reaction

The couple is one of the highly talked about pairs on social media for many unwanted reasons but their fans were in awe when they interacted for the interview during the break between the innings after Stuart hit a magnificent half century to take his team to a formidable score of 190. The day was special for both of them as it was the wedding anniversary and Stuart celebrated the occasion producing an all-round match-winning effort for his team.

Mayanti Langer, aware of the situation and obviously happy after interviewing her husband, took to Twitter to react. She posted a message for her followers to let them know that it was a normal day for her. Her tweet read, “Just a normal day in office.”

Stuart Binny has been trying to earn his place back in the Indian team across all formats of the game, a tough task considering the way Hardik Pandya has been performing. He last donned India colours in 2016 in a T20I against West Indies in the United States of America. Binny has represented for India in 6 Tests, 14 ODIs and 3 T20Is.
