MS Dhoni has been in some outstanding form in this year’s IPL. He has been providing some splendid finishing whether it is his team batting first or while chasing. He again stepped up against Delhi with a fantastic 51 runs from just 22 balls, an innings with five sixes and two boundaries.
Michael Vaughan who was in India for a brief moment was all praise for MS Dhoni. Hailing him as a King, Vaughan stated that the finisher was back. Just some time ago, he had drawn comparisons of Dhoni to that of Jos Buttler. Looking at the current IPL, it seems that Dhoni is peerless when it comes to that department.
Here’s what he tweeted
“The king @msdhoni is back as the best finisher in the game ….. #Fact #IPL2018”

MS Dhoni’s aggregate this year in IPL is an amazing 286 runs from just 8 games that too at an astounding average of 71.50. He has been making contributions in almost every game. He has scored three fifties already in the first half of the tournament and still looks raring to go.
His innings tonight was important in guiding CSK to a total of 211/4. He came to crease at a time when Chennai were losing their way after a splendid start by Shane Watson. Dhoni and Rayudu ensured the run rate was unaffected by going along their shots. Both put up 79 runs from just 36 balls.
At the end, it turned out to be the difference between both the teams as Delhi fell just 13 runs short of the target. With this win, the Chennai Super Kings are now at the top of the points table. As for the Delhi Daredevils, they languish at the bottom of the points table. The opposition teams better be wary of CSK because Captain Cool isn’t showing any mercy to the bowlers at death.
