Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has always enjoyed exchanging banters. Well, we’re not speaking about the Adil Rashid controversy here. The current commentator shares a love-hate rapport with the Indian fans on Twitter. From his Buttler-Dhoni polls to trolling India following their loss, Vaughan never stays an inch behind.

The Indian fan base, on the other hand, keeps getting triggered. This brings towards Vaughan a plentiful of hatred but the Englishman seems to love it. The match could’ve gone either way on the fourth day. However, as soon as Virat Kohli got out, the hosts gained an upper edge. Thereafter, it was only a matter of time before they sealed the victory.

Michael Vaughan had earlier stated that Kohli was unlikely to repeat his antics in the fourth innings. However, the Indian skipper stood apart and Vaughan ended up at the receiving end of Indian trolls. Hence, now was his chance to give it back to the Indian fans. Michael Vaughan sheepishly tweeted a good evening to the Indian fans following the loss.

In no time, he was taken apart by all Indian fans who were already heartbroken after the loss. One particular fan reminding him that England had lost 4-0 in the previous series between both the teams in 2016.  Some fans responded by trolling him about his team having never won a World Cup in history. There was also a compulsory Lagaan reference.

Other fans responded by saying that Vaughan would be sorry for his words later in the series. They showed faith in India to change the equation of the series and come back with even stronger performances. Others continued to engage in banters and troll the former England cricketer. There were also some congratulatory messages for England’s win at Birmingham.

Here are the responses to Michael Vaughan’s sly to Indian fans on Twitter
