There was a lot of talk about India’s ability being tested during their England tour. But as it has turned out so far in the limited-overs leg, the visitors have given a proper hiding to Eoin Morgan and his men courtesy of the chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav. He has run through their batting line-up nonchalantly and has scalped 11 wickets in three outings. However, ahead of the second ODI, Michael Vaughan has trolled England fans as Kuldeep continues to threaten at Lord’s as well.
The 23-year-old bowled a dream spell at the Trent Bridge a couple of days ago and returned with the figures of 6/25 in his 10 overs. He was absolutely unplayable as the batsmen were unable to read his variations. The wrong’un he bowled to Jonny Bairstow was the best of the lot which pinned him in front of the stumps. The Brits will have to find a way past him somehow to make a comeback in the ODI series.
Vaughan’s funny picture
Lord’s is generally known to produce a surface which is slow in nature which brings the Indian spinners into the game again on Saturday. Moreover, if England bat second, the pitch will assist the spinners more making things difficult for them in the chase. Michael Vaughan seems to have the read the minds of England fans as Kuldeep has been all over their team.
He posted a funny picture trolling the fans on Instagram and captioned it with a message which read, “England fans today when Kuldeep Yadav comes on to bowl !!!!!! #ENGvIND #Lords.”
The ball is in England’s court now and they have to come up with tactics to counter the wrist-spinners. India have exposed their weakness ahead of the World Cup next year in the same country and it will be interesting to see how things pan out until the mega event commences on May 30.
