The former Indian skipper MS Dhoni will now enjoy a break of around one month thanks to Test series between India and Sri Lanka. The veteran was busy playing limited overs series against Australia and New Zealand which were followed by the ODIs and T20Is in Sri Lanka. However, he will be back in action for in coloured clothing after the tussle between the two nations in whites finishes. However, he was in Eden Gardens to shoot an advertisement and didn’t miss out to have a look at the strip on which the first Test will be played on November 16.

Dhoni seems to have planned of finishing all his ad shoots in the break and so visited the iconic Stadium on Thursday. He was accompanied by another World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev who was in the ad with him. The advertisement was being directed by the noted Bengali producer-director Arindam Sil. It is being learnt that it is of 33 seconds and the stalwarts of the Indian cricket enjoyed their time fully. They also played with the kids to whom they offered some invaluable tips about the game.

Dhoni is a natural actor

MS Dhoni, along with Kapil Dev, had a look at the pitch being prepared for the first of the 3-match Test series between India and Sri Lanka. He also wished the curator Sujan Mukherjee luck ahead of the match after a week. “Dhoni really appreciated the pitch preparation and wished us for the Test match,” Mukherjee said as quoted by Times of India. The director Arindam Sil termed the experience of shooting the legends of Indian cricket as a ‘lifetime’ one.

“It’s the Mecca of Cricket and I had two World Cup winning captains shooting for me. It’s the most memorable day in my life. They were the the best of the captains. I felt nostalgic. I have watched them play from the same galleries here but to shoot with them now at the same venue is a lifetime experience. Kapil said he would get tired to bowl but once he went to his bowling marks he went on and on and bowled numerous deliveries. He also batted and it felt the Kapil Dev of old is back,” he said.

Arindam also informed the reporters that Dhoni spent some time with the kids and termed him as a natural actor. “He told them on how to play aggressively about the stance and all of this in the midst of the busy work. It’s brilliant. I didn’t require a retake from Dhoni, he was natural in front of the camera,” he added.
