MS Dhoni pets new horse at Ranchi farmhouse, wife Sakshi shares an adorable video

After the suspension of India Premier League (IPL) on May 4th, the players from India have got some time off, which they are utilizing either by spending time with their family or with their pet animals. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also making the most of this precious time with his pet dogs and horses.

Apart from being crazy about bikes, Dhoni is very fond of animals, as evidenced by the number of dogs he has at his farmhouse in Ranchi. He often keeps his fans entertained by sharing the videos of the pet dogs along with his daughter Ziva. Recently, Sakshi Dhoni shared a picture of a new horse, which was added into the family when Dhoni was busy playing the IPL.

The couple named the horse as Chetak, and the CSK skipper got to spend some time with him after he returned home. Sakshi recently shared a video in which the captain can be seen pampering the horse. The stallion, which is an Indian indigenous breed called Marwari or Malani, can be seen lying down and enjoying a massage and patting from the cricketer.

Dhoni making the most of his time by pampering his pet animals

Apart from this video, Sakshi had also posted another in which Chetak can be seen mingling with other pets at the farmhouse. She further mentioned that the stallion was a “true gentleman” and was very good by his behavior.

Apart from Dhoni, India’s talismanic allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, too, owns some horses. Recently, Jadeja was seen sharpening his horse-riding skills at his Jamnagar farmhouse. The star allrounder has four stallions and he pampered them with love and affection before departing to Mumbai ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) final and the subsequent five-match Test series in England.

Meanwhile, the 2018 champions bounced back in style after a dismal outing in the 2020 season in the UAE. Dhoni was, as usual, at the forefront of CSK’s revival with his street smart leadership and game awareness. He also showed why he is regarded as one of the most selfless cricketers as he decided to leave last after the safe departures of his other CSK teammates.
