Premier Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman did no have a big role to play in the recently concluded Test series against Australia. This was largely due to the fact that the surfaces laid for the two games at Dhaka and Chittagong were predominantly spin friendly. Hence, the pacer had very little role to play. This was evident from the fact that both teams went ahead with three front line spinners in their lineups for the second Test at Chittagong.

Mustafizur Rahman was the only pace bowler in the Bangladeshi lineup for the game. The hosts arrived in to the game with a lead of 1-0 and had history to be created at their disposal. But an all-round show from Australia drew the series leveled. While Bangladeshis were undone by Nathan Lyon in the batting department, the Aussie opener David Warner was too good to handle for them in the bowling department.

Bangladeshi bowlers toiled hard to get the wicket of Warner in the first innings and that perhaps made al the difference. Warner was adjudged as the Player of the Series for his heroics in the two games. A very cheeky Mustafizur Rahman found an ideal way to congratulate Warner on the social media platform Twitter. Mustafizur managed to take the wicket of David Warner in both the innings. Hence, his congratulatory message had a mention of this very fact.

“Congrats @davidwarner31 for becoming player of the series. You were amazing throughout the series. BTW, Thanks for getting out in my spells,” tweeted Mustafizur Rahman.

Sunrisers Connect

The two players are known to be sharing great bonhomie among them. They represent the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the Indian Premier League. Warner, the captain of the franchise, has time and again praised the skills of Mustafizur. Also, the fizz has responded back by saying he has always found support from skipper Warner at the camp.
