Naughty Virat Kohli hits Jayant Yadav at an awkward place

Skipper Virat Kohli was a mighty pleased man with the efforts shown in by the boys. India started day 4 at 391/4 with a deficit of 86 runs to be covered. The Indian batsmen took full toll of the English bowlers as they declared with a mammoth 759/7 on the board before taking a crack at the English batsmen. One man had the time of his life on the field, Karun Nair.

It was middle order batsman Nair who smashed an unbeaten 303 to enter the record books as the second Indian to reach the 300-run mark. While Nair was busy piling up runs, Kohli was enjoying his team piling on the agony for the visitors. The skipper has been jovial all through the match. Earlier after bundling out England on day 2, the Indian skipper had a naughty moment with the off-spinner Jayant Yadav. Along with Karun Nair, even Jayant Yadav has been a revelation for the Indian team in this series.

Yadav did not feature in this Test due to an injury. However, the Haryana offie had done enough in the previous 3 Tests to get into the good books of the skipper. No wonder, Kohli did not shy away from having a cheeky physical dig at Jayant. At the end of the England’s first innings, the players were walking back to the dressing room as a happy unit. It was then that Kohli hit Jayant Yadav at a place where no guy ever likes being hit. When Jayant stood on the sidelines to appreciate the players coming in the dressing room, he certainly did not expect a shot coming his way.

As Virat Kohli crossed paths with Yadav, he had a cheeky slap at mid region of Jayant with his cap. Yadav, quite obviously, was amused at getting hit ‘there’ and was clueless as Kohli walked by. The video was uploaded by ScoopWhoop Videos and they did not shy away from adding a good background score to the incident. The last scene even saw a surprised Anushka Sharma giving a bemused reaction. Well, that was quite an addition to the video.
