Netizens ask Mohammad Hafeez to not copy Virat Kohli after the former posted a shirtless picture

Mohammad Hafeez, the Pakistan all-round cricketer, is well and truly at the fag end of his cricketing career. The seasoned campaigner is 38 years old and will be 39 in a few months time. Hence, it can be understood that the national team must be looking for some fresh legs in order to replace the veteran for the future. However, the Punjab-born hasn’t missed out on playing cricket.
He is currently a part of the St Kitts and Nevis franchise, led by Carlos Brathwaite, in the Caribbean Premier League (IPL). In six matches, he hasn’t been to show his class though, having a top score of 37 against the Jamaica Tallawahs and with only a couple of wickets to show for his efforts with the ball. Hafeez’s next encounter is versus the St Lucia Zouks at the Daren Sammy Stadium.

Prior to the CPL, he plied his trade for Middlesex where he played alongside the likes of Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan and AB de Villiers. He hasn’t got a contract either from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2019-20 season. Shoaib Malik, who’s also playing the CPL for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, didn’t get a contract and even he is at the twilight of his career.
In the meantime, Hafeez is having a gala time in St Lucia. He posted three pictures, a couple of which showed the beautiful surroundings. In the other, he clicked a selfie where the cricketer was seen shirtless. He captioned the picture and wrote, “Sunset view in Beautiful St Lucia (love emoticon)”

However, the netizens didn’t quite like the shirtless picture. Rather, they asked Hafeez to not copy Virat Kohli. The Indian skipper has a toned body and has set fitness goals for his teammates and others. He has also done exceptionally over the years in the yo-yo test, which is considered as a criterion for selection in the national team. Kohli has often been seen, flaunting his abs and chiseled body. The fans are definitely not pleased with Hafeez trying to imitate Virat.
