The swashbuckling Australian opener was in ominous touch too and rightly joins Cook at the top of the order. Having scored 1277 runs in 12 matches at an average of over 58, Warner has 4 Test tons to his name this year. He hit a brilliant knock of 253 against New Zealand in the 2nd Test of New Zealand’s tour to Australia. The highlight of his batting was his strike rate. Despite playing Test cricket, Warner often scored runs briskly and was the chief wrecker of the opposition on most occasions.
