Pakistan fans troll Poonam Pandey for her response to the Abhinandan Ad

The Indian actress trolled Pakistan for the advertisement.

The marquee clash of the 2019 World Cup between India and Pakistan is set to take place on June 16 at the Emirates Old Trafford in Machester. Every other time, the arch-rivals lock horns with each other, the excitement and hype doubles and it’s not any different even this time around. Prior to the all-important encounter on Sunday, India released a ‘Mauka Mauka’ advertisement.

In the Ad, Pakistan was shown as India’s son. Thereafter, the other side also churned out an advertisement, surrounding the clash. However, they mocked IAF’s Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in their video. After the Pulwama Attacks, both the nations indulged in some air-strikes. Later, from the Indian side, the IAF pilot’s MIG- 21 Bison was brought down in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and he was taken into custody by the Pakistani army.

He was interrogated there, but Abhinandan didn’t lose his composure and refrained from disclosing any sensitive information. He was also lauded by the netizens for his brave demeanour while they prayed for him to return home. While staying in custody, Abhinandan mentioned that he was being treated well and he won’t change his opinion even after returning to India.

On March 1, he was handed over to his motherland India through the Wagah-Attari check-post in Amritsar. The entire country was over the moon and sent in congratulatory messages after Abhinandan came back to India. In the meantime, in Pakistan’s version of the advertisement before the World Cup clash, the makers mocked Abhinandan’s interrogation.

Poonam Pandey’s reply

The video didn’t go down well with Poonam Pandey, the Indian actress, who follows the Indian team very closely. She uploaded a video on Instagram and Twitter where she first showed the Pakistani advertisement while having a cup of tea. Thereafter, she hailed Abhinandan as India’s ‘War Hero’ and claimed that she has a perfect answer to the clip. She suggested another kind of cup which Pakistan can use to drink tea.

However, Poonam’s response wasn’t taken sportingly by the Pakistani fans either. Subsequently, they severely trolled the actress on Twitter.
