Tainted Pakistani left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir has been warned by the Pakistan cricket management about the hostile English crowds when the Pakistanis do tour England later this year. Amir is due to arrive in England this week with the Pakistan squad who will be based in Southampton for a training camp before their first warm-up game against Somerset at Taunton on July 3.

Aamir has reportedly been told that the England crowds would taunt him following his participation in the match-fixing scandal in 2010. Moreover, Amir has not played Test cricket for Pakistan since that dreadful day in 2010. However, he will be making his long-awaited comeback in the Test match at Lords on the 14th of July.

“During the meeting Amir was told in clear terms that he will have to follow each instruction given to him by the team management and anti-corruption and security manager in England and totally avoid the media unless permitted by the manager,” a PCB source told the Telegraph.

“Amir was told that he should be mentally prepared to be ready to face bad situations during the tour as no one could control crowds or bystanders and he will have to show patience and tolerance,” he added.

While this is not the first time Mohammad Amir is making his comeback, he has been taunted before in Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand in the fall of 2015. Reports suggested that the lanky left-arm pacer was taunted by the DJ present in the ground on the New Zealand tour. However, despite all this, Amir has been impressive in his comeback with strong performances in the Asia Cup T20 and the World T20 2016.
