Prithvi Shaw entered a coveted list of Indian captains having won the u19 World Cup after Mohammed Kaif, Virat Kohli, and Unmukt Chand. On the other hand, history will always remember Manjot Kalra for scoring a century in a World Cup final. As for Shubman Gill, he is already being seen as a future probability of India after having won the player of the tournament.
Praises sprung in from all quarters for the youngsters. Right from celebrities to Indian cricketers, everyone lauded the young team’s stupendous efforts in the u19 World Cup. However, it was the parents, coaches, and well-wishers who were elated by their success.

Manjot Kalra sure grabbed eyeballs with a significant knock on the biggest stage. His father Praveen Kalra was extremely delighted. He remarked that Manjot will go on to become a great player for the country and conveyed his wishes.
“We are proud of him. Manjot will keep on performing like this. He will prove to be a good player for the country in the coming times. Our good wishes are with him.” He was quoted as saying by ANI.

Off-spinner, Abhishek Sharma’s father was also glad regarding the u19 team’s success. He expressed his gladness over the same and called it as the happiest day of his life. He further looked forward to watching his son do well in the domestic tournaments and even for India in future. Abhishek recently quoted that he wants to emulate Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni.
“This is the happiest day of my life. India won the game one-sidedly. Abhishek is very determined. He used to ask me to make him practise to the level of high-class cricketers. I would now wish he performs sincerely in every match and tournament he plays. Including the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, and play for the Indian team in the future.”
