Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns in Match 52 of the Indian Premier League 2022 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Kings are at seventh position in the points table with five victories, while Royals sit at the third spot with six wins in 10 appearances.

In their last fixture against Gujarat Titans (GT), PBKS secured a clinical victory by eight wickets. After restricting the opposition to a score of 143, they chased down the total in 16 overs. The best performing bowler for the team was Kagiso Rabada with four wickets, and the duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa contributed 62* and 40, respectively.

On the other hand, RR have sustained two losses on the trot. In their last outing, the team could manage to score only 152 runs on the back of a half-century from Sanju Samson. Later, Trent Boult tried his best, but the spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin returned wicketless as the team failed to defend their score.

Pitch and conditions

The Wankhede Stadium has been a belter of a surface and is likely to assist the batters as it has during the past few years as well. On most occasions, the team chasing down the score has won on most occasions. The totals of around 180 will be a par score at this venue.
