England Women’s opener Danielle Wyatt is enjoying a great tour in India. She became only the 2nd T20 player in the World to have registered 2 T20 international hundreds. She registered her 2nd century at the Brabourne Stadium against India during the T20 tri-series involving Australia. She continued her good form in the ODI-series against India. In the 2nd ODI of the series, her 47-run innings of 40 deliveries made sure there were no hiccups in the run chase after India tumbled to a mere 113 runs batting first.

Interestingly, Waytt became a sensation among the Indians where during a T20 innings by Indian skipper Virat Kohli made Wyatt propose him and ask to marry him on Twitter. Wyatt while speaking to Sportstar, said that people continue to remind her about that Tweet even today. The 22-year-old finds it funny. “I still get reminded of it every day. It’s a bit ridiculous but very funny,” Wyatt told Sportstar.

The Indian crowd was chanting Kohli Kohli

Wyatt while giving an example said that the Indian crowd during the second ODI were shouting Kolhi Kohli. However, Waytt likes that banter as there’s no abuse. “Yesterday at the game, all the crowd was chanting ‘Virat, Virat’. He is a legend and that’s expected. They love him and Indian people are very nice; even when I get trolled, there’s no abuse,” said Wyatt.

Post the Tweet episode, Wyatt met the Indian skipper Kohli a couple of times and she finds Kohli a very humble guy. During the conversation, Kohli has suggested Waytt not to Tweet something like this as Indians take these things very seriously. “You’re the girl who sent that tweet, you can’t do that because people take it seriously”. But he was a really nice, humble man,” Wyatt said.

Virat favorite batsman in the world: Wyatt

According to Wyatt, Kohli is her favorite batsman in the world. She also said that the two discussed batting and Kohli’s diet as well. “It was good to chat with him. We spoke about his batting and his diet as well. He eats a lot of tuna and spinach, so that’s his secret. He is definitely my favorite batsman in the world. He is amazing,” said the English opener.

England now plays the third and final ODI of the series against India tomorrow which is a virtual final as both the sides have won 1 match apiece.
