Indian team captain Virat Kohli is on the battlefield in South Africa with his boys, which is now a quest to make a fighting comeback into the series after losing the first Test match at Newlands, Cape Town. Amidst the big preparations for the second Test match at Centurion, the Indian Test team gathered for a special visit to the Indian high commission in Johannesburg. All the players along with their family who are accompanying the cricketers on the long tour attended the meet.

A visit to Indian House

BCCI posted many pictures on its Twitter handle in which players and Indian team head coach Ravi Shastri were communicating with the officers and the other men at the India house. India’s No 3 batsman Cheteshwar Pujara tweeted a picture with the Indian National Flag to his side, while his teammate Rohit Sharma posted a family photograph with his wife Ritika Sajdeh. The Indian team and all the coaching staff also gathered around for a group picture and some players also clicked images with some fans.

Tensed practice sessions and selection worries for Kohli

The visitors find themselves in a tricky situation ahead of the second Test match after a dismal batting performance in both the innings of the first Test match. Kohli included Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Hardik Pandya on the basis of current form. But due to the batting collapse in the first game, Indian team would be looking to accommodate Ajinkya Rahane in the playing XI for the second Test match, who has been a key player for the team in overseas conditions.

They would also be concerned about opener Shikhar Dhawan consistent failures and reluctance to the short delivery, who could make way for KL Rahul who has a better technique and ability to play at this level.

The Indian team was seen sweating hard in the preparations and net sessions ahead of the crucial match at Centurion, which starts on January 13. The players would be raring to perform and make a fighting comeback to level the three-match Test series in the next game.
