The start of the second Test between India and England has been delayed at Lord’s due to the persistent drizzle. There was a lot of talk about the heat wave in London and both the teams were pondering over playing two spinners in this game. But the weather has dramatically changed and it has been raining the whole day. However, with all the excitement around the playing XIs of both the teams, it seems that the line-ups are leaked even before the toss.

The scoresheet which is provided to the scorers before the match has been leaked which shows that the visitors have decided to go in unchanged for this game. Also, England have decided to play Chris Woakes and it seems that Moeen Ali will have to wait for his chance. The weather forecast over the next five days might have played its part in the decision making from both the teams as they only one specialist spinner will take the field at Lord’s.

A Twitter user with the name ‘fake_bumrah_’ posted the image of the scoresheet and has claimed it to be the correct news. If the news is true then it will be the first time since Virat Kohli took over the captaincy that India will be playing with the same line-up in back-to-back Tests.

First day’s play likely to be washed out

As far as the play on the first day is concerned, it is likely to be washed out. Since morning, the drizzle has constantly kept the fans, officials and players on the tenterhooks. The covers are on and as of now, there are no signs of play starting anytime soon. Whenever the play starts, all eyes will be on the pitch. It must have soaked in a lot of moisture and it will surely help the bowlers when the cherry is brand new.
